Betty is accredited by the Public Relations Society of America. Her
philosophy of client service is based in part on the Society’s Code of
Professional Standards and “do good work, clients will follow.” Prior
to founding Newberry, she was vice president of a Providence-based
agency. Previously, she worked for several small and medium-sized
agencies in Rhode Island and Massachusetts where she developed strong
skills in all facets of public relations, copywriting, print
production, and account management. She holds a bachelor of arts degree
(1986, cum laude) in communications and theatre from Rhode Island
College (Providence). Her academic and subsequent professional
achievements led to her listing in college, business and international
Who's Who
directories. Betty is a twice-past president of PRSA’s Southeastern New
England chapter (1996 and 2002) and has served as assembly delegate,
strategic planning and public relations committee chair for the
chapter. She is current past chairman of the board of the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce, a past president of the board for Literacy Volunteers-R.I., past president of East Providence/Seekonk Rotary Club, Board of Governors
member and communications committee chair for the Hope Club, a member
of the PRSA Counselor’s Academy, and a twice-past president of East Bay
Toastmasters Club. She has earned the Advanced Toastmaster-Bronze
(ATM-B) and Competent Leader (CL) designations from Toastmasters
International. She is a published author of business/humorous articles
in national periodicals, a public speaker and seminar leader on various
topics, and an award-winning copywriter. |
Donna E. Personeus Vice President/Creative Services & Marketing Donna joined Newberry as owner/president of red door productions, LLC, a full service video production, duplication and media buying firm she established in 1994. She has degrees from Syracuse University and Fashion Institute of Technology (summa cum laude) in Visual Arts and Illustration. She has worked for major music and communications companies in New York City as media buyer, purchasing media in over 70 markets nationwide (including three of the top 10 U.S. markets) for various clients with annual billings in excess of $15M. Locally, Donna worked in the direct mail and automotive industries, including a major auto group with a $2M advertising and marketing budget.
Donna is currently a member of the Creative Communications Club of Providence and has been a member of numerous associations including the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce (Ambassador Committee), East Bay Chamber of Commerce, Boston Film/Video Foundation the Publicity Committee for Rebuilding Together, and the Citizen’s Scholarship Foundation of Barrington. Presently she is an active member of PAGE/PASE (People Advocating for Gifted Education/People Advocating for School Wide Enrichment), and board member of the Barrington Youth Soccer Association (Web site committee).
She is a public speaker, seminar leader and award-winning video producer. She became a member of the International Judging Committee for the Aurora Awards in 2005 and 2006.
